I just loved everything about this book. It's the culmination of the two narratives which went before it in the Mixed Messages series and, for me, it's the cream at the top.

While I absolutely adored Jude and Asa and loved the heck out of Dylan and vulnerable Gabe, there was just something about seeing two men who've both been in love with the other for more than half their lives finally realise that love was worth taking the risk which spoke to me.

I've been waiting for Henry's story since he first appeared as Gabe's best mate and, in Risk Taker, Lily Morton delivered - for me - absolute perfection.

This story was truly executed amazingly well. These characters were so fleshed out. While we only get Dylan’s POV, we see every dimension to Gabe, every nuance. It’s easy to see why Dylan fell so hard for him. It’s easy to see why Dylan stood up for himself. I felt every tender moment, every piece of Dylan’s heart breaking……every piece of Gabe’s heart breaking. The author shattered me and put me back together.

The HEA is hard-won in this book, and the author didn’t disappoint with this either. No abrupt ending. The last chapters and epilogue show things full circle.

I tore through this book in one sitting, and it goes straight to my “Best of 2017” shelf. Highly recommended!

Boy did Deal Maker by Lily Morton, have some tough shoes to follow. For me, Rule Maker, its predecessor, burst out of nowhere to make it on everyone’s favorite of the year lists. I was equal parts excited and nervous; I mean I didn’t want to be disappointed if it didn’t measure up. Well, not only did it measure up but I loved it more. It had a more emotional, softer side than Rule Maker, but it also still had the same hilarious, biting banter.

I LOVED the slow build up of Nell and Sid’s relationship. The sexual tension between these two was undeniable. I was hooked pretty early on with the easy flow of writing and the fun banter between the main characters and their friends. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the beginning until the last page. I didn't want it to end! C J Weston Book Happiness Book Blog

Totally loved this book. Witty dialogue that keeps the pages turning and was sorry to see the book end. I am looking forward to future books by this author.

Wow, what a book. I don't usually write reviews because I never usually feel inspired enough but I enjoyed this book so much I just had to.
'Promise Me' delivered on so many genres that I love to read, especially the friends to lovers and rockstar trope. The story was well paced with fully fleshed out characters that left me sad when I came to the end of the book (I didn't want it to end ) I ended up staying up till 4 am reading it then finishing it off when I got up at 7am. It was full of humour and so heartwarming.
